We’re Donna and Karen—a professional pet sitting team based on Vancouver Island, traveling throughout Victoria, the Saanich Peninsula, and the Gulf Islands with our tiny rescue dog, Dewey.
With over a decade of hands-on pet care experience and all 5-star reviews, we care for dogs, cats, small animals, reptiles, farm animals, and the homes they live in as if they were our own.
Great pet care, in our experience, comes down to being present, patient, and genuinely kind—while also knowing when to step in and take the lead. We’re calm, affectionate, and attentive, but we’re also confident and capable, which helps pets feel safe and settled quickly.

We’re insured through TD Bank and certified in Walks ‘N’ Wags Pet First Aid. We also travel with Dewey, our gentle, well-mannered four-legged companion.

Dewey, our sweet 10-pound rescue dog, is a big part of The Pet Sitting Pros team. As pet sitters with a dog, we’re thoughtful about how he joins our stays, and he’s become a familiar, comforting presence for many of the pets we care for during our in-home pet sitting with a dog services.
He’s gentle, friendly, and great at reading other dogs’ cues. He also gets along well with cats, and fully understands that they’re in charge.
Dewey has even spent time alongside sheep and a mini horse on a small farm. Not bad for a little rescue pup living his best professional pet sitter life.
Whether he’s joining in on a walk or finding the coziest spot for a well-earned nap, Dewey adds an extra layer of calm and comfort to every stay. He takes his role seriously… and his naps even more so.
